This book is based on Raül Avilla Royo’s PhD thesis at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. This research explores the impact of collaborative practices within and outside the discipline of architecture through the study of civic engagement protocols. It analyzes architecture as a collaborative process rather than a product. This text becomes a compilation of tools that start from analysis, management, data collection and design to instrumentalize practice in research that aims to have an impact on subsequent practice.
